Job summary

OSS Health is seeking an Athletic Trainer to specialize in prevention, recognition and treatment of injuries for athletes at contracted schools and events. You will observe PA licensure rules, OSS Health policies and NATA guidelines while working a set schedule.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, PA state licensure, BOC certification, and a commitment to professional development and patient care. Strong communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences, Sports Medicine, Athletic Training or related field is required.
• Two years of experience preferred.
• Current PA State License in Athletic Training and BOC certification required.
• Clearances as required by PA CPSL Act 34 and Act 15.

Responsibilities

• Applies protective or injury-preventive devices (tape, bandages, braces).
• Evaluates injuries and provides first aid or emergency care within scope of practice.
• Develops rehabilitation programs for injured athletes.
• Plans programs to prevent injury and illness in athletics.
• Operates Gator, golf cart or UTV as needed.
• Maintains records and writes reports on injuries and treatments.
