Job summary

University Hospitals is looking for an Athletic Trainer to support athletes and athletic programs by providing comprehensive fitness and conditioning programs. Your role will involve performing athlete evaluations, providing immediate care, and creating effective treatment plans tailored to their needs.

You will be required to educate athletes and their families on treatment and prevention strategies while maintaining up-to-date documentation. Ideal candidates must have a Bachelor's Degree in Sports Medicine and the National Athletic Trainers Association certification, along with experience as an ATC.

Qualifications

• 1+ years experience as an ATC preferred.
• Specific experience with general principles of injury prevention and first aid required.
• Physically and cognitively able to provide care and assist in moving people and/or equipment.

Responsibilities

• Performs athlete evaluation on/off the field and provides immediate care.
• Selects and uses appropriate treatment techniques.
• Educates athlete/family in treatment and prevention.
• Maintains documentation via injury tracking software.
• Assists Athletic Director in ordering supplies.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Sports Medicine or other related program

National Athletic Trainers Association certification

Licensure in the State of Ohio
