Job summary

Cleveland Clinic is hiring an Athletic Trainer to provide comprehensive care for student-athletes, from prevention through return-to-play. You will work with coaches, physicians, and sports medicine staff in a fast-paced athletics environment.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in athletic training, ATC certification, state licensure where required, and BLS certification. This is a full-time, hourly position with varied hours.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training and completion of an CAHEEP-accredited program.
• ATC certification required by NATB OC? (as stated) and state licensure where required.
• BLS certification per AHA or Red Cross for Healthcare Providers.

Responsibilities

• Prepare athletes for practice or competition.
• Evaluate and manage injuries and determine if referral is needed.
• Maintain medical files and liaise between physician and athlete.
• Implement treatment and rehabilitation programs under physician supervision.
• Develop conditioning programs for injured and uninjured athletes.
• In clinical/ambulatory settings, perform health maintenance reviews and provide reports to physicians.
• Document visits in the medical record with the physician.
• Review post-visit instructions with patients.
• Assist with data gathering under physician or nurse supervision.
• Administer treatments under physician direction.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training

ATC certification

State licensure as an Athletic Trainer

BLS certification (AHA or Red Cross)
