Position Overview

Pivot Onsite Innovations has an immediate need for an experienced and passionate Industrial Athletic Trainer at our client’s site in New Britain, CT in a PRN role. This position offers an opportunity to work at a dynamic worksite and make an impact on employee health, wellness, and safety!
Looking for a PRN to cover as needed: M-F 6a-6p (Flex times, 8 hour shifts typically)

Job Summary

The Industrial Athletic Trainer will plan, coordinate, and supervise all components of a worksite injury management and health improvement program for employees. Unique skills include injury prevention and evaluation, ergonomic risk assessments, OSHA emergency/first aid treatment, health education, and worksite health promotion.

Position Responsibilities

• Perform wellness assessments and ergonomic risk analyses
• Develop and implement site-specific wellness initiatives
• Design ergonomic interventions using innovative solutions and employee empowerment
• Provide first-aid treatment for musculoskeletal complaints
• Conduct orthopedic injury assessments, focusing on injury prevention and education
• Coordinate treatment plans including therapeutic exercises and work conditioning
• Analyze data and handle administrative tasks like documentation and reports
• Create a trustful environment to promote injury reduction
• Communicate with safety personnel and advocate for workers
• Attend meetings and serve on committees as needed
• Optional: author articles for newsletters and intranet
• Position may require proof of COVID-19 vaccination

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in related field
• Board Certification (BOC)
• State licensure/certification
• Current First Aid/CPR/AED certification
• Willingness to travel to client locations
• Strong interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum two years of athletic training experience
• Knowledge of OSHA Recordability and worker’s compensation
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office
• Experience with ergonomic/occupational health
• CEAS/OSHA10 certification
