Position Overview

Pivot Onsite Innovations has an immediate need for an experienced and passionate Industrial Athletic Trainer at our client's site in New Britain, CT in a PRN role. This position offers an opportunity to work at a dynamic worksite and make an impact on employee health, wellness, and safety. Looking for a PRN to cover as needed: M-F 6a-6p (Flex times, 8-hour shifts typically).

Job Summary

The Industrial Athletic Trainer will plan, coordinate, and supervise injury management and health improvement programs for employees at the worksite. Skills include injury prevention, evaluation, ergonomic risk assessments, OSHA emergency/first aid, health education, and worksite health promotion.

Position Responsibilities

• Perform wellness assessments and ergonomic risk analyses
• Develop and implement site-specific wellness initiatives
• Design ergonomic interventions using innovative solutions and employee empowerment
• Provide first-aid for musculoskeletal complaints, including ice, heat, stretches, massage, tape, and non-rigid bracing
• Conduct orthopedic injury assessments; participation in education and injury prevention, not rehabilitation services
• Coordinate treatment plans with therapeutic exercises and work conditioning
• Manage data collection, documentation, reporting, and administrative tasks
• Create a trustful environment to promote injury reduction
• Communicate with safety personnel and advocate for injured employees
• Attend meetings and serve on committees
• Optionally author articles for newsletters and intranet
• Position may require COVID-19 vaccination proof

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field
• Board of Certification (BOC) certified
• State licensure/certification
• Current First Aid/CPR/AED certification
• Willingness to travel to various locations
• Strong interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications

• At least two years of athletic training experience
• Knowledge of OSHA Recordability and worker's compensation
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office
• Experience in ergonomics or occupational health
• CEAS/OSHA10 certification
