Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in athletic training.
• Master’s degree in athletic training, kinesiology, or related field preferred.
• 0-2 years of experience in athletic training, sports medicine, or injury prevention and rehabilitation.
• An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
• All experience must be paid and in the same related field.
• Part-time and PRN experience prorated based on hours worked per week.
• Volunteer work and internships for academic credit are not counted.

Collaborates with physicians, coaches, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal athlete care and recovery. Coordinates game and event coverage, including required travel, to support athlete health and performance. Educates coaches, parents, and athletes on sports medicine topics and develops educational materials. Supports clinic operations, manages patient communications, and participates in research and quality improvement initiatives. ## Essential Functions• Provides clinical assistance throughout the patient cycle, including rooming, checkout, and post-operative visits.• Develops and delivers patient education materials and instruction, including pre- and post-operative care, home exercise programs, cast care, and crutch gait training.• Maintains and distributes up-to-date educational materials on sports injuries and prevention, and conducts educational sessions for coaches, staff, parents, and athletes.• Provides primary injury assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation for assigned schools and teams, maintaining communication with physicians, coaches, parents, and medical professionals.• Supports orthopedic and sports medicine in-office procedures, including ultrasound-guided injections, room and patient preparation, procedure assistance, and application/removal of casts, splints, and braces.• Performs physician extender duties such as triage, prescription refills, appointment placement, and communication liaison tasks.• Demonstrates proper taping, strapping, bracing, fitting of athletic equipment, and collects and documents patient health data and vital signs.• Conducts and submits annual research projects or case studies for professional presentation or publication.• Performs other duties as assigned. ## Education RequirementBachelor’s degree in athletic trainingMaster’s degree in athletic training, kinesiology, or a related field is preferred ## Experience Requirement0-2 years of experience in athletic training, sports medicine, or injury prevention and rehabilitation, or a relevant area An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.All experience must be paid and in the same related field.Part-time and PRN experience will be prorated based on hours worked per week.Volunteer work and internships for academic credit are not counted. ## Certifications & LicensuresAthletic Trainer Certified, Applicable state ATC licensure, Basic Life Support (BLS) ## Working ConditionsA.
