KDMC Ashland Hospital Corporation seeks a qualified athletic trainer to provide injury assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation for student-athletes across assigned schools and teams. Responsible for providing injury assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation services to athletes in assigned schools and sports organizations. Collaborates with physicians, coaches, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal athlete care and recovery. Coordinates game and event coverage, including required travel, to support athlete health and performance. Educates coaches, parents, and athletes on sports medicine topics and develops educational materials. Supports clinic operations, manages patient communications, and participates in research and quality improvement initiatives.
Bachelor’s degree in athletic training Master’s degree in athletic training, kinesiology, or a related field is preferred
0-2 years of experience in athletic training, sports medicine, or injury prevention and rehabilitation, or a relevant area. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. All experience must be paid and in the same related field. Part-time and PRN experience will be prorated based on hours worked per week. Volunteer work and internships for academic credit are not counted.
Athletic Trainer Certified, Applicable state ATC licensure, Basic Life Support (BLS)
This position requires regular standing or walking with objects weighing up to 10 pounds; intermittent standing or walking with objects up to 25 pounds; intermittent lifting, pushing, and/or pulling objects weighing up to 50 pounds; and occasional lifting, pushing, and/or pulling objects over 50 pounds. Also involves intermittent sitting at a computer workstation for extended periods of time; performing tasks with repetitive motions (such as documentation or treatment); and some exposure to risk of injury from moving, lifting, or positioning patients or equipment; as well as exposure to hazardous chemicals and fumes including waste, cuts/punctures, bloodborne or airborne pathogens, burns, temperature extremes, and occasional loud noises.
