Athletic Trainer - High School Outreach - Nederland High School

Boulder Community Health, Boulder, CO 80303

Salary: $29.66 - $41.45 per hour
Schedule: Half-Time Evenings, 20 hours per week
*Range includes evening differential. +$2.50/hr for weekend shifts.

Position Overview:

Boulder Community Health is seeking an Athletic Trainer responsible for designing and maintaining an athletic training program at the assigned high school. This includes managing health records such as injury reports, BVSD incident reports, and treatment logs. The role also involves maintaining the training environment, inventory, safety, and professionalism. The ATC will serve as a liaison among the sports medicine center, parents, student athletes, coaches, and the athletic director.

Qualifications:

  • Colorado Athletic Trainer Licensure required within the conditional employment period
  • NATA Certification preferred
  • BLS Certification required within the conditional employment period

Responsibilities:

  • Perform tests to determine treatment modes for students
  • Create and maintain individualized care plans with goals
  • Provide rehabilitation using appropriate tools and patient management knowledge
  • Evaluate response to treatment and adjust plans accordingly
  • Document evaluations, treatments, progress, and prevention efforts
  • Advocate for patients within the rehabilitation system
  • Use health-related research to inform practice
  • Assess, treat, and care for students
  • Develop programs for injury evaluation, treatment, rehabilitation, and prevention
  • Coordinate with the athletic director to develop emergency action plans
  • Maintain electronic medical records for injuries
  • Coordinate coverage for training rooms, practices, and games, including away events with transportation provided by the district
