Job summary

Dominican University of California in San Rafael seeks an Athletic Trainer to oversee health and well-being for 15 teams and around 300 student-athletes. You will coordinate team physicians, lead injury prevention, and manage clinical operations across practices and competitions.

You will develop testing schedules, oversee medical paperwork, and collaborate with massage therapy externs, physicians, and staff to optimize care and safety for every athlete.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Current driver's license and satisfactory driving record.
• ATC certification and continued professional development.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to read and interpret medical literature and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Determine physician availability and coordinate annual physicals.
• Develop physical and concussion testing schedules for all student-athletes.
• Prepare medical history paperwork for new and returning athletes.
• Coordinate physician clinics and scheduling for Dominican Athletics.
• Manage insurance records and liaison with providers and billing.
• Provide emergency injury care and on-site treatment during practices and games.
• Develop injury prevention programs with coaching staff and S&C.
