Job summary

Corewell Health is seeking an athletic trainer to support sports programs at the Niles site. You will triage and treat athletes, coordinate with physicians, supervise treatment areas, and lead prevention and rehabilitation efforts.

The role requires BOC certification, MI licensure, and BLS presence on hire, with opportunities to engage in continued education. The position covers practice and game coverage with seasonal variations and a 40-hour work week; incentives up to $15,000 are available

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or CAATE-approved athletic training program completion.
• 1 year of relevant athletic training experience.
• BOC certification and MI licensure upon hire.
• BLS certification (AHA or Red Cross) upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Triage patients and document care per guidelines.
• Evaluate athletes' condition and coordinate with physicians and staff.
• Oversee operation of treatment areas and equipment cleanliness.
• Prepare players for practice/game with warm-ups, taping, and injury prevention.
• Collaborate on pre-season physicals and return‑to‑play decisions.
• Support rehabilitation and reconditioning programs.
• Engage in professional development and meetings.
