Job summary

Mercy Orthopedic Clinic - 650 S Mount Auburn seeks an Athletic Trainer to support prevention, evaluation, immediate care and rehabilitation for active individuals and sports injuries. The role emphasizes professional development and patient-centered care within Mercy's standards.

The incumbent will work days in a full-time capacity, with some travel and occasional after-hours coverage as needed, in a clinical/outreach setting. State licensure or eligibility and BOC certification required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of athletic training program from accredited college or university.
• State licensure or eligibility for Athletic Trainer is required.
• Certification through the BOC plus CPR or equivalent.
• Preferred: National Athletic Trainers Association certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide prevention, recognition, evaluation, immediate care and rehabilitation for sport injuries.
• Assess data and interpret information to identify patient care needs.
• Perform related duties as assigned; support professional development.

Position Details:

Mercy

Orthopedic Clinic - 650 S Mount Auburn

Shift: Days, Full-Time

Education Required: Graduate of athletic training program from accredited college or university.

Education Preferred: Master's Degree in athletic training or related field is preferred.

Experience Required: N/A
Experience Preferred: Some experience Preferred, but not required.

Licensure Required: State of practice licensure or eligible for Athletic Trainer is required.

Certification/Registration Required: Certification through the Board of Certification, Inc. Professional Rescuer CPR or its equivalent.

Preferred Certification: National Athletic Trainers Association certification as an athletic trainer.

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities: This individual must be trained and capable of performing patient care and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his/her age-specific needs, and to provide the care needed.

Working Conditions, Mental and Physical Requirements: Clinical and/or Outreach Athletic Training settings. The individual must be very adaptable and willing to work occasional odd hours. There will be occasional weekend work and travel required throughout the year.

Equipment Used: Therapeutic Modalities, Thermal and Electric Modalities, Computer, Dictaphone, Cellular Phone, Therapeutic Equipment.
