Job summary

Tabor Academy seeks an Assistant Athletic Trainer and Concussion Coordinator to support afternoon athletic programming across all seasons. The role oversees prevention, assessment, treatment, rehabilitation, concussion management, and return-to-play for student-athletes in a boarding school setting.

Responsibilities include staffing the training room, managing injuries, implementing concussion protocols, and documenting care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training required.
• Massachusetts Athletic Trainer license and NPI number required or ability to obtain prior to hire.
• Emergency Cardiac Care certification required.

Responsibilities

• Staff the Athletic Training Room during practices and interscholastic competitions as scheduled.
• Assess, evaluate, treat, and manage sports-related injuries for student‑athletes.
• Lead the implantation and management of concussion protocols, including baseline testing and return‑to‑learn/return‑to-play procedures.
• Respond to emergencies and catastrophic injuries and develop rehabilitation plans.
• Collaborate with coaches, physicians, and families to promote student health and safety.
