Mental Health Association of Rochester is seeking an athletic trainer to deliver prevention, evaluation, and rehabilitation services on campus and in outreach settings.
Responsibilities include patient assessments, therapeutic modalities, and adherence to professional standards; travel and weekend hours may be required.
Provides athletic training services focused on prevention, recognition, evaluation, immediate care, and rehabilitation of sports-related injuries to ensure safe return to activity. Responsible for demonstrating professional development and adhering to organizational standards.
Perform patient assessments, administer care, and utilize therapeutic modalities and equipment. Perform duties aligned with the organization's mission and values, including related tasks as assigned.
Requires a graduate of an accredited athletic training program, state licensure or eligibility, and certification through the Board of Certification, Inc. Must be capable of patient care, data assessment, and interpreting patient needs according to age-specific requirements. Physical and mental adaptability for clinical and outreach settings, occasional odd hours, weekends, and travel are necessary.
A master’s degree, prior experience, and NATA certification are advantageous but not mandatory.
