Job summary

Scottish Rite for Children is seeking an Athletic Trainer for community events in Frisco/at the Ambulatory Surgical Center. This PRN role covers outside events and on-site injury care through the Sports Medicine Center.

The candidate should have a bachelor's degree in athletic training or related field, with 1–2 years of experience preferred, and Texas licensure. BOC certification is preferred, CPR is required, and the role involves collaboration across departments.

Qualifications

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in an accredited athletic training program or related field.
• Minimum 1-2 years of experience preferred
• Board of Certification, Inc. (BOC) certification preferred
• License in the state of Texas
• CPR required

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and provide coverage for outside events on behalf of the Sports Medicine Center
• Assist in the assessment and treatment of sport-related injuries at events designated by Scottish Rite
• Provide sports injury assessment at events, and on-site care of athletic injuries, such as immediate first aid and evaluation of injury status
• Refer athletes requiring additional medical or health care services to the appropriate resources for such care (for example, the athlete's primary care physician or nearest hospital)
