Job summary

OhioHealth is seeking a Certified Athletic Trainer to fulfill a contractual agreement with central Ohio high schools, providing evaluation and care for athletic injuries and ensuring safe participation.

The position is non-exempt with evening shifts; duties include injury evaluation, on-site and post-event care, and travel with teams as needed. A high school diploma and Ohio licensure plus OT/PT/AT board certification are preferred. New grads welcome.

Qualifications

• Formal athletic training knowledge and clinical skills.

• Licensed athletic trainer in Ohio.

Responsibilities

Job Description Summary

THIS IS A NON-EXEMPT VERSION OF AN EXEMPT JOB TO BE USED FOR ALL CONTINGENT POSITIONS AND ANY PART-TIME POSITIONS WHEN THE BASE WEEKLY SALARY (STANDARD HOURS TIMES HOURLY RATE OF PAY) IS LESS THAN $455 DUE TO FLSA REGULATIONS.This position is responsible to fulfill a contractual agreement between specified schools within central Ohio and OhioHealth to provide Certified Athletic Trainers to the High Schools outlined annually in the agreement.

Responsibilities And Duties

• 40%:
• Evaluates Athletic-related Injuries
• 40%
• Provides Athletic Care necessary before, during, and after events as outlined by the school district
• 20%
• Travels with athletic teams to away events depending on hours and availability of weekly scheduled hours

Minimum Qualifications

High School or GED (Required)LIC - Licensed in Field - State of Ohio

Bachelors Degree, Certified in Ohio by the OT/PT/AT Board as a certified athletic trainer.Kind and Length of Experience: New Grad, prefer experience in school based sport related training.
