Job summary

OhioHealth in central Ohio is seeking a Certified Athletic Trainer to support school partnerships under a contractual agreement with local districts. This non-exempt role is used for contingent and part-time positions when the base hours fall below the FLSA threshold.

You will evaluate athletic injuries, provide care before, during, and after events, and travel with teams as needed. Required: high school diploma or GED, Ohio licensure, and a bachelor’s degree with OT/PT/AT Board certification.

Job Description Summary

THIS IS A NON-EXEMPT VERSION OF AN EXEMPT JOB TO BE USED FOR ALL CONTINGENT POSITIONS AND ANY PART-TIME POSITIONS WHEN THE BASE WEEKLY SALARY (STANDARD HOURS TIMES HOURLY RATE OF PAY) IS LESS THAN $455 DUE TO FLSA REGULATIONS.This position is responsible to fulfill a contractual agreement between specified schools within central Ohio and OhioHealth to provide Certified Athletic Trainers to the High Schools outlined annually in the agreement.

Responsibilities And Duties

• 40%: Evaluates Athletic-related Injuries
• 40%: Provides Athletic Care necessary before, during, and after events as outlined by the school district
• 20%: Travels with athletic teams to away events depending on hours and availability of weekly scheduled hoursThe major duties, responsibilities and essential functions listed above are not intended to be all-inclusive of the duties, responsibilities and essential functions to be performed by employees in this job. Minimum Qualifications
