Penn State Health is hiring an Athletic Trainer in Lancaster, PA, within the Athletic Training Services. Under the team physician, you will provide athletic training services to student-athletes in the secondary school setting, including prevention, immediate care, evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation.

Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor’s Degree, state licensure as an Athletic Trainer, current BOC and CPR certifications.

  • Licensed in the state of employment as an Athletic Trainer.
  • Current BOC certification is required.
  • Current CPR certification is required.
  • PIAA Weight Assessor Certification may be obtained after employment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide athletic training services to student-athletes in the secondary school setting.
  • Deliver preventive measures and standard immediate care in emergencies.
  • Perform clinical evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation/reconditioning of injuries.

SUMMARY OF POSITION:

Under the direction of the team physician, and in accordance with the Pennsylvania Athletic Training Practice Act, the Athletic Trainer is responsible for providing athletic training services to student-athletes in the secondary school setting. This includes providing preventative measures appropriately, standard immediate care procedures used in emergency situations, clinical evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation/reconditioning of injuries.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Licensed in the state of employment as an Athletic Trainer
  • Current BOC certification
  • Current CPR certification
  • PIAA Weight Assessor Certification (can be obtained after employment)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATION(S):

  • Minimum two (2) years experience preferred, however entry-level graduates with BOC certification are encouraged to apply.
