Job summary

Essentia Health’s Ambulatory Care Athletic Trainers deliver evaluation, education, treatment, and consultation in collaboration with and under the supervision of a physician at the St Marys - Detroit Lakes Clinic.

They provide comprehensive patient care for adolescents to geriatrics in an ambulatory setting under direct physician supervision, performing procedures as competencies are demonstrated. Full-time schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm.

Qualifications

• Athletic training program graduate.
• Registered by Board of Medical Practice per state guidelines.
• Certification in CPR.
• NATA board certification (BOC) and the appropriate state licenses.
• Current state registration in appropriate state.

Responsibilities

• Provides services to patients in ambulatory setting under physician supervision.
• Performs evaluation, education, treatment and consultation as directed.
• Completes procedures for which competencies have been demonstrated.

• Provides services to patients ranging from adolescents to geriatrics in an ambulatory setting to contribute to meeting the mission and goals of Essentia Health.
• Provides patient care activities under the direct supervision of a physician including; evaluation and assessment, education, treatment and consultation services, and related patient care services.
• Will perform identified procedures for which competencies have been demonstrated.

Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm

Licensure/Certification Requirements
