Job summary

A healthcare provider in Portland is seeking a full-time Athletic Trainer responsible for providing athletic training coverage and support for school assignments. The role requires a Bachelor's Degree in a health-related field, an Oregon Athletic Trainer License, and relevant certifications. Job description

Athletic Trainer at Providence Health Plaza (HR) Bldg 1-Portland – Full-Time, Day Schedule

The Athletic Trainer provides athletic training coverage/support for sport team/school assignment(s) as directed by the Clinical Supervisor for Rehab Services or Sports Medicine. Provides and assists in the coordination of activities that include injury prevention, immediate assessment/evaluation/treatment of injuries and appropriate triage of injuries.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Health related field or equivalent educ/experience
• Upon hire: Oregon Athletic Trainer License
• Upon hire: National Provider BLS – American Heart Association
• Upon hire: BOC (Board of Certification of athletic trainer's membership)
• Upon hire: In compliance with company policy and state regulations, a Department of Human Services (DHS) criminal background check is required for this position (PL 540 and 580 only)

Preferred Qualifications

• 2 years experience working in school/college environment as an athletic trainer
