Job summary

Xcelerate Physical Therapy in Delaware County is seeking a per diem Athletic Trainer to provide coverage for athletic teams and individual athletes.

You will perform injury assessments, develop rehab plans, and deliver immediate emergency care as needed, collaborating with physicians and coaching staff to ensure athlete safety.

Qualifications

• Current Athletic Trainer Certification (ATC) license in Pennsylvania.
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Athletic Training.
• CPR/AED and First Aid certifications.
• Knowledge of injury assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation protocols.
• HIPAA regulations and medical documentation standards.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide per diem athletic training coverage as needed to support team operations and athlete care.
• Perform comprehensive injury assessments and evaluations using appropriate clinical examination techniques.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment and rehabilitation plans for injured athletes.
• Provide immediate emergency medical care and injury management following protocols.
• Collaborate with physicians, coaching staff and other healthcare professionals for athlete health and safety.
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation for evaluations and treatments.
• Design injury prevention programs to enhance performance and reduce injury risk.
• Educate athletes on injury prevention, recovery, and return-to-play guidelines.
• Manage athletic training equipment, supplies, and facilities to meet safety standards.
• Monitor athlete health during practices, competitions and events.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations including HIPAA.

Job Description

**Responsibilities:**

• Provide per diem athletic training coverage as needed to support team operations and athlete care
• Perform comprehensive injury assessments and evaluations using appropriate clinical examination techniques
• Develop and implement individualized treatment and rehabilitation plans for injured athletes
• Provide immediate emergency medical care and injury management in accordance with established protocols
• Collaborate with team physicians, coaching staff, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal athlete health and safety
• Maintain detailed and accurate medical records and documentation for all athlete evaluations and treatments
• Design and implement injury prevention programs and conditioning protocols to enhance athlete performance and reduce injury risk
• Educate athletes on proper injury prevention techniques, recovery strategies, and return-to-play guidelines
• Manage athletic training equipment, supplies, and facilities to ensure they meet safety and operational standards
• Monitor athlete health status and provide ongoing support during practices, competitions, and team events
• Ensure compliance with all applicable healthcare regulations, HIPAA requirements, and organizational policies
• Communicate effectively with athletes, coaching staff, and medical personnel regarding injury status and treatment progress

Qualifications

**Required:**

• Current Athletic Trainer Certification (ATC) license in Pennsylvania
• Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited Athletic Training program
• Current CPR/AED certification and First Aid certification
• Knowledge of injury assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation protocolsq
• Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and medical documentation standards
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
