Job summary

Xcelerate Physical Therapy in Newtown Square, PA seeks a per diem Athletic Trainer to support athletic teams and clinic operations.

You will perform injury assessments, develop treatment plans, provide emergency care, and collaborate with physicians and coaches. Must hold PA ATC, Bachelor’s degree, and CPR/AED/First Aid certifications.

Qualifications

• Current PA ATC license and valid certification in CPR/AED/First Aid.
• Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited Athletic Training program.
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and medical documentation standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide per diem athletic training coverage to support teams and clinic operations.
• Perform injury assessments and evaluations with appropriate clinical techniques.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment and rehab plans for athletes.
• Provide emergency medical care following established protocols.
• Collaborate with team physicians, coaches, and other healthcare professionals.
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation for evaluations and treatments.
• Educate athletes on injury prevention and return-to-play guidelines.
• Ensure facilities and equipment meet safety and operational standards.
• Comply with healthcare regulations and organizational policies.

Education

Current Athletic Trainer Certification (ATC) license in Pennsylvania

Bachelor's degree or higher in Athletic Training

Current CPR/AED and First Aid certifications

Responsibilities

Job Description

• Provide per diem athletic training coverage as needed to support team operations and athlete care
• Perform comprehensive injury assessments and evaluations using appropriate clinical examination techniques
• Develop and implement individualized treatment and rehabilitation plans for injured athletes
• Provide immediate emergency medical care and injury management in accordance with established protocols
• Collaborate with team physicians, coaching staff, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal athlete health and safety
• Maintain detailed and accurate medical records and documentation for all athlete evaluations and treatments
• Design and implement injury prevention programs and conditioning protocols to enhance athlete performance and reduce injury risk
• Educate athletes on proper injury prevention techniques, recovery strategies, and return-to-play guidelines
• Manage athletic training equipment, supplies, and facilities to ensure they meet safety and operational standards
• Monitor athlete health status and provide ongoing support during practices, competitions, and team events
• Ensure compliance with all applicable healthcare regulations, HIPAA requirements, and organizational policies
• Communicate effectively with athletes, coaching staff, and medical personnel regarding injury status and treatment progress

Qualifications

**Required:**

• Current Athletic Trainer Certification (ATC) license in Pennsylvania
• Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited Athletic Training program
• Current CPR/AED certification and First Aid certification
• Knowledge of injury assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation protocols
• Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and medical documentation standards
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
