Job summary

Goldbelt Apex, part of the Healthcare Technology Transformation Group, seeks a qualified Athletic Trainer to support the U.S. Army Reserve's H2F Performance Team.

You will develop and deliver evidence-based injury-prevention, movement-assessment, reconditioning, and recovery programs to reduce MSKI and improve Soldier readiness. You will work with interdisciplinary Human Performance Team members to integrate injury prevention, physical readiness, nutrition, and cognitive performance strategies

Qualifications

  • Master's or Doctoral degree in Athletic Training (CAATE accredited).
  • Minimum of three years of experience providing injury prevention, reconditioning, rehab support, and performance services to military personnel or high-performing populations.
  • Current BOC Athletic Trainer Certification (ATC) and unrestricted state licensure.
  • Current CPR/BLS certification.
  • U.S. Citizenship required.
  • Willingness to travel (Hawaii, Alaska, Washington, Guam, American Samoa, Japan, South Korea) and ability to obtain/maintain SECRET clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement injury prevention assessments, reconditioning programs, and recovery strategies per Army H2F doctrine.
  • Conduct movement screenings and injury risk assessments to inform prevention and performance optimization.
  • Create educational materials, rehabilitation guides, and injury prevention tools for Army Reserve environments.
  • Train Soldiers on prevention techniques, mobility, and return-to-duty practices.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to integrate injury prevention, nutrition, and cognitive performance.
  • Coordinate with Strength and Conditioning coaches and medical personnel for reconditioning after injury.
  • Provide guidance and training to H2F Integration Teams, medical personnel, and unit leadership.
  • Participate in planning meetings and government synchronization sessions; prepare reports and after-action reviews.

Summary:

Goldbelt is seeking a qualified Athletic Trainer (AT) to support the U.S. Army Reserve's Holistic Health and Fitness (H2F) Performance Team. The Athletic Trainer serves as a subject-matter expert responsible for developing, implementing, and delivering evidence-based injury-prevention, movement-assessment, reconditioning, and recovery programs designed to reduce musculoskeletal injuries (MSKI), improve Soldier readiness, and enhance operational performance.

Working as part of an interdisciplinary Human Performance Team, the Athletic Trainer collaborates closely with the Strength and Conditioning Coach, Registered Dietitian, Cognitive Performance Specialist, Government leadership, and H2F Integration Teams to support Army Reserve units throughout the Indo-Pacific region.

Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

  • Develop and implement command-specific injury prevention assessments, reconditioning programs, and recovery strategies in accordance with Army Holistic Health and Fitness (H2F) doctrine.
  • Conduct movement screenings, injury risk assessments, and evidence-based evaluations to identify opportunities for injury prevention and performance enhancement.
  • Develop educational materials, recovery resources, rehabilitation guides, and injury prevention tools tailored to the Army Reserve operational environment.
  • Train Soldiers on evidence-based injury prevention techniques, recovery strategies, mobility, flexibility, and return-to-duty best practices.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary Human Performance Team members to integrate injury prevention, physical readiness, nutrition, and cognitive performance strategies.
  • Coordinate with Strength and Conditioning Coaches and unit medical personnel to develop and implement reconditioning programs for Soldiers returning from injury.
  • Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and training to H2F Integration Teams (HITs), medical personnel, and unit leadership.
  • Participate in planning meetings, working groups, and synchronization sessions with Government personnel.
  • Prepare required reports, after-action reviews, and documentation in accordance with contract requirements.
  • Complete all mandatory Government and installation training requirements.
  • Maintain all required licenses, certifications, and credentials throughout employment.
  • Support recurring travel requirements throughout the Pacific region.
Qualifications

Necessary Skills and Knowledge:

  • Ability to develop evidence-based injury prevention and recovery programs.
  • Strong understanding of movement analysis, rehabilitation, and performance optimization.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with military leadership and Soldiers.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within an interdisciplinary healthcare team.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master's or Doctoral degree in Athletic Training from a Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE) accredited program.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience within the last four (4) years providing injury prevention assessments, reconditioning education, rehabilitation support, and performance enhancement services to military personnel, tactical populations, collegiate athletes, professional athletes, or other high-performing populations.
  • Must possess:
    • Current Board of Certification (BOC) Athletic Trainer Certified (ATC) credential.
    • Current unrestricted state licensure in accordance with applicable state and federal requirements.
  • Current CPR/BLS certification.
  • Current Athletic Trainer licensure and certifications throughout employment.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Travel Required: Hawaii, Alaska, Washington, Guam, American Samoa, Japan, and South Korea; A valid U.S. passport or the ability to obtain one if needed is required.
  • Security Clearance: Must be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET Security Clearance

Pay and Benefits

The annual salary range for this position is $95,000 to $120,000.
