North Carolina A&T State University seeks an Athletic Trainer to assist the Head Athletic Trainer in administering the athletic training program. You’ll supervise medical services for men’s and women’s cross country and track and field, handling injury care, records, and travel coverage.
The role requires BOC certification, NC licensure eligibility, and 1–3 years of collegiate experience, with a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.

The Athletic Trainer will assist the Head Athletic Trainer with the overall administration of the athletic training program. Primary sport responsibility will be supervision and management of athletic training services for the men’s and women’s cross country and track& field teams. Responsibilities will include injury prevention, evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation; maintaining accurate medical records, practice and game/event coverage, including travel; pre-participation evaluations; coordinating medical insurance claims; and supervising student athletic trainers and volunteers. The selected candidate must have the ability to communicate effectively with the head athletic trainer, team physicians, head/assistant coaches, strength and conditioning coaches, and administrators. Additional duties may be assigned by the Head Athletic Trainer.

Master’s Degree in Athletic Training or related field preferred.
NATABOC Certification required;
This position may be eligible for a remote or hybrid workarrangement, consistent with university and state policies. N.C.A&T employees are generally required to reside in North Carolina, within a 2-hour commuting distance of their assigned duty station.
