Job Summary
Full time (Monday - Friday, days), no nights, no on call, no weekends, no holidays. Seeking an Athletic Trainer for our practice who supports the patient and primary care relationship through care delivery enhancement. What you will do in this role
- Under the direction of a physician, practices prevention, emergency care, first aid, treatment or physical rehabilitation of injuries incurred by patients in the manner, means and methods deemed necessary to affect care and/or rehabilitation.
- Responsible for following patient care from check in to check out.
- Liaison between patient, physician or physician office staff.
- Responsible for taking patient history, initial evaluation and documentation.
- Design and educate patients on home exercise protocols per the physician’s request.
- Responsible for patient setup and education of in office procedures.
- Prepares for and assists physician with in office procedures.
- Responsible for brace and crutch fitting and product education.
- Triage patient messages, phone calls and questions appropriately, whether it is resolving issue within the scope of practice or utilizing physician, nurse triage and other ancillary staff as needed.
- Responsible for maintaining clinic flow between all areas of the clinic.
- Maintain medical records on all injuries and rehabilitation procedures.
- Provides athletic training coverage at assigned interscholastic athletic event as assigned.
- Completes special projects as assigned.
- Counsel patient regarding diagnosis, treatment options, and outcomes.
- Perform other duties as required.
- Must read and understand and adhere to all Physician Services policies and procedures.
- Practice and adhere to the Code of Conduct and Mission and Values statements.
Qualifications
Experience:
- One or more years of experience preferred.
Certification / License:
- Must be licensed as an athletic trainer in accordance with state regulations if required.
- Must be BOC certified and possess state athletic training licensure, certification or registration.
