Job summary

ProgressiveHealth is seeking an Athletic Trainer to provide on-site injury prevention and first aid at a large Clarksville manufacturing facility. You will perform ergonomic assessments, coach posture, and support safety and medical teams to reduce injuries and improve productivity.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s in Athletic Training or related field with NATABOC certification, and state licensure or ability to obtain. Strong teamwork and communication are essential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training, Kinesiology, or related field with NATABOC certification.
  • State licensure, certification, and registration in good standing or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

  • Provide proactive injury prevention, early symptom intervention, and first aid per OSHA standards.
  • Conduct ergonomic assessments and recommend changes to prevent musculoskeletal issues.
  • Work one-on-one with employees to assess injury risk, coaching, and wellness promotion.
  • Assist Safety and Medical staff with injury management and return-to-work processes.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and report metrics to leadership.

Athletic Trainer, AT – ProgressiveHealth, LLC – Clarksville, TN


We are looking for an energetic and results-driven Athletic Trainer to provide injury prevention services onsite for a large manufacturing facility in Clarksville, TN. We strive to increase the industrial athlete’s ability to perform their job duties safely and decrease the risk of injury through intervention at the early onset of discomfort in a dynamic work environment. What will you be doing in this role?




    • Providing proactive injury prevention, early symptom intervention, and first aid injury care as defined by OSHA standards, including ergonomic postural/body mechanic education and/or escalation of medical care if needed.

    • Providing ergonomic assessments and support by understanding the site operations, job processes, and physical demands to make ergonomic recommendations to prevent more serious musculoskeletal conditions from occurring.



  • Working one on one with manufacturing employees to assess the risk of injury, perform posture coaching, self-care implementation, and overall wellness promotion.

  • Assisting Safety Department, Medical Staff, and Production team to assess risks and determine ergonomic solutions, regarding countermeasures, process/element changes, body postures, and team member development.

  • Assist onsite Medical staff with Work Compensation injuries following established policies and procedures in regards to first aid, documentation, referrals, and follow-up interactions.

  • Ensuring the work environment allows employees to maximize their comfort, safety, and productivity.

  • Working with Safety and Health Department to implement and enforce standards.

  • Facilitate restrictions and return to work processes with all involved parties

  • Keeping accurate, detailed documentation with efficiency while being able to provide feedback to the industrial athlete and client for continuous health improvements

  • Understanding and providing reports with key metrics to leadership, client partners, and operations management

Our ideal candidate will have:


  • A Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training, Kinesiology, or another related field and NATABOC certification

  • The required state licensure, certification, and registration that is in good standing with the state or the ability to obtain the required state licensure

  • CPR/AED certification or the ability to obtain it prior to start of employment; maintain and provide proof of current certification(s)

  • Basic knowledge of workers' compensation and OSHA regulations, preferred

  • The ability to stand, walk, and sit throughout entire assigned shift

  • Previous ergonomic and/or occupational health experience is a plus

  • A high degree of professionalism in both written and verbal communication

  • The ability to work both independently and in a team environment, without constant supervision

  • Be able to maintain confidentiality

  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency with databases and with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
