Dr. Fitzgerald & Associates is looking for an Athletic Trainer to perform concussion management, TBI rehabilitation, and sports vision training through multiple modalities and eye hand coordination activities. This position will work on the rehabilitation side of the clinic with Dr. Fitzgerald, who is a neuro-optometrist, along with an athletic trainer and vision therapists.

The Athletic Trainer's expected hours would be 9am-5pm with 1-2 days until 6pm, Monday-Friday. They will have access to various modalities, state of the art equipment, and continuing education in order to improve patient outcomes. Being able to work as part of a team as well as being able to work autonomously are both important in this role. This role offers good work-life balance as work stays at work.

Qualifications

BOC certified Athletic Trainer require upon hire

Licensed in the state of Iowa require/or eligible

1+ year of experience (preferred)

Dry needling certification (preferred)

Responsibilities

Managing and rehabilitating concussion, stroke, and other traumatic brain injuries

Perform special testing for concussion, stroke, and other TBIs

Managing and educating ways to avoid migraine symptoms

Providing sports vision training to help improve athletic performance

Access to BOC Approved Category A CEUs

Paid training upon hire

Medical insurance

Annual eye exam and prescription coverage

Hourly wage to be discussed and based on experience/certifications/etc
