Job summary

Novant Health Orthopedic Clinic in Cary, NC is seeking a dedicated athletic trainer to support clinicians during exams and procedures, manage vital signs and histories, and prepare exam rooms for treatment.

The role emphasizes compassionate patient education related to orthopedic health and recovery, with a people-first approach and collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• Education: 4-year/Bachelors degree required from an accredited athletic training program; graduate degree preferred.
• Experience: Two years preferred.
• Licensure/Certification: Current AT licensure in state with ability to acquire others; NATA BOC exam required; AHA BLS First Aid/CPR/AED Instructor certification required; CSCS/PES/CES preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist providers during exams and procedures.
• Take vital signs and obtain medical histories.
• Prepare patients and exam rooms for treatment.
• Provide compassionate care and patient education focused on orthopedic health and recovery.

What We're Looking For

• Education:
  • 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, required. Graduate from an accredited athletic training program.
  • Graduate Degree, preferred.
• Experience: Two years preferred.
• Licensure/Certification:
  • Current AT licensure in appropriate state with the ability to acquire additional state licenses as required.
  • Successfully pass NATA BOC exam, required.
  • AHA BLS First Aid/CPR/AED Instructor certification, required.
  • Hold or ability to hold CSCS, PES, CES certification(s), preferred.
• Additional Skills (required): Excellent Customer Service, Written and Oral Communication, basic computer application skills, and ability to multitask
