Canton Public Schools in Connecticut is seeking a Licensed Athletic Trainer to provide comprehensive athletic training and healthcare services to student-athletes participating in the district's interscholastic athletic programs.

The Licensed Athletic Trainer provides comprehensive athletic training and healthcare services to student-athletes participating in the district's interscholastic athletic programs. The primary responsibilities of the position include the development and implementation of programs for the prevention of athletic injuries; evaluation and treatment of injuries; administration of first aid and emergency medical care; development and administration of rehabilitation programs; and coordination of appropriate return-to-activity and return-to-play protocols.
The Athletic Trainer serves as an integral member of the school athletic and student-support team and works collaboratively with student-athletes, coaches, parents/guardians, school nurses, administrators, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to promote the health, safety, and well-being of student-athletes.
