Job summary

Caddo Parish School District is seeking a Classified Laborer - Grounds (Athletic) to perform a variety of manual and routine maintenance duties at the Shreveport facility. The role focuses on grounds upkeep, floor maintenance, and basic repairs to support athletic programs.

The position is full-time, 260 days, with a salary ranging from $27,954 to $36,839 per year. Immediate start and ongoing opportunities exist within the CPSB grounds team.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent with 6 months to 1 year related experience.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to write simple correspondence and present information clearly.

Responsibilities

• Maintains school floors and general grounds.
• Removes and repositions furniture, waxes floors, and replaces furniture.
• Assists in maintenance repairs, especially lawn equipment.
• Distributes parts, fuel, and other items needed for operation.
• Assists with welding and maintenance of playground equipment.
