Job summary

Caddo Parish School District is seeking a Classified Laborer - Grounds (Athletic) to perform a variety of manual and routine maintenance duties at the Shreveport facility. The role focuses on grounds upkeep, floor maintenance, and basic repairs to support athletic programs.

The position is full-time, 260 days, with a salary ranging from $27,954 to $36,839 per year. Immediate start and ongoing opportunities exist within the CPSB grounds team.

SUMMARY

Performs a variety of manual, labor intensive, and routine maintenance duties by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintains school floors.
• Removes furniture, waxes floor, and replaces furniture.
• Assists in maintenance repairs, primarily lawn equipment.
• Distributes parts, fuel, and other items needed for operation.
• Assists with welding and maintenance of play ground equipment.
• Assists in all other areas as required.
• Neat, well groomed, appropriately dressed appearance.
• Performs other related duties as required or assigned.
• Tractor driving experience is a plus.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
