Job summary

City of Arvada is hiring a Parks Worker II to maintain safety, appearance, and functionality of parks and athletic facilities. Responsibilities include turf maintenance, irrigation, snow removal, and basic construction tasks.

You will help set up baseball/softball/soccer/football/lacrosse fields and support athletic events on weekends. The role emphasizes teamwork, attention to detail, and dedication to high standards for park spaces.

Qualifications

• One (1) or more years of experience in park maintenance.
• Degree: High School/GED Education Required Yes.
• Must pass criminal background check and a driving record check, if required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain park safety, appearance, and amenities.
• Perform turf management, irrigation, snow removal, and general maintenance.
• Program athletic fields: drag, line, paint, and setup fields for user groups.
• Support weekend athletic events and operate park equipment as needed.
• Assist with special events, training, and record keeping.
