Job summary

The College of Charleston is seeking a Groundskeeper to assist with maintaining athletic fields and the Patriots Point Athletics Complex and Tennis Center. This on-site role requires physical work and the ability to follow routine instructions.

Experience in groundskeeping or related maintenance is preferred; a valid SC driver’s license is required within 30 days. The position offers exposure to landscape care, irrigation, and seasonal events.

Qualifications

• Elementary education and professional experience in groundskeeping, janitorial or building maintenance.
• Golf course or landscape maintenance experience preferred.
• Ability to understand and follow routine oral and written instructions.
• Valid SC driver's license or ability to obtain within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Maintain athletic fields and internal & external grounds of Patriots Point Athletics Complex and Tennis Center.
• Assist in irrigation, fertilization, mowing, and line painting of fields.
• Operate and maintain power equipment; perform basic repairs as needed.
• Safely perform duties and assist during games and events; ensure cleanliness.
