Job summary

Blue Valley Recreation Commission in Kansas is seeking a Full-Time Maintenance Worker for our premier 27-field sports complex. This year-round position offers benefits and a starting pay of $20.00 per hour. You must be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays; typical schedule is Monday through Friday, 6:30 a.m.

to 3:00 p.m. Snow removal duties are required during winter weather. You will prepare athletic fields, maintain restrooms, repair fences and lighting, and operate grounds

Qualifications

• As a maintenance worker, must be 18+ and have HS diploma or GED.
• Experience with lawn equipment and grounds maintenance preferred.
• Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather.

Responsibilities

• Prepare athletic fields, line/chalk, set bases for games and events.
• Maintain restrooms and keep facilities clean and safe.
• Repair fences, bleachers, lighting, and other site amenities.
• Operate mowers, trimmers, sprayers, and related grounds tools.
• Support winter operations including snow and ice removal.
