Job summary

City of Iowa City is seeking a part-time hourly Athletic Facilities Maintenance worker to maintain and prepare soccer fields and baseball/softball diamonds for practices and league play. Responsibilities include field dressing, lining and grooming, plus occasional raking and leaf vacuum operations.

Position may involve winter snow removal and other duties as required, with negotiable start/end dates and up to 25 hours per week. Wage is $15.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform physically demanding and repetitive work under all weather conditions.
• Some maintenance experience is desirable.
• Familiarity with soccer and baseball/softball is helpful.
• Ability to maintain an assigned schedule.
• Valid driver's license with satisfactory driving record if required.

May assist with raking and operation of leaf vacuum equipment for removal of leaves for curbside pickup.

May assist with winter snow removal operations. Performs other duties and operates other equipment as required.
