Job summary

Penn State University is seeking Part-Time Event Management Interns within the Intercollegiate Athletics department to assist with all aspects of event management for regular season home athletic events.

The role includes setting up and tearing down equipment, signing in staff, greeting visiting teams and officials, directing security, and ensuring a safe, enjoyable environment for participants. Some office prep and wrap-up work may be required.

Responsibilities

• hang up/take down flags
• distribute/collect event equipment
• sign in event staff
• ensure proper set up/tear down for event
• greet visiting team/officials and escort to locker rooms
• direct security and other event staff as needed
• take attendance and ensure a safe, fun, enjoyable environment for all participants
• Some prep/wrap up work in the office may be required.
