THE POSITION

The NDCL Athletic Director is an integral part of upholding the mission, vision, and core values of Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin School (grades 9-12). The Athletic Director serves as a member of the administrative team and interacts with a broad range of constituents, including students, faculty, families, and building leaders.

The Role
• Organization - Managing schedules for multiple teams and facilities. Coordinating events, including practices, games, and tournaments. Ensuring a safe environment for athletes and spectators.
• Supervisory – This includes supporting the hiring process, evaluating and providing guidance to coaches, and carrying out duties as assigned by the NDCL Principal.
• Budgeting and Financial Management - Developing and managing budgets for sports programs. Ensuring financial resources are allocated equitably and responsibly.
•OHSAA Compliance - Knowledge of OHSAA rules, regulations and policies, compliance with state and federal laws, including Title IX requirements.
• Management – Overseeing the organization of athletic events, ensuring they run smoothly and safely. This also includes coordination of all home athletic events, tournaments, OHSAA events, and athletic summer camps. Managing logistics such as ticket sales, security, and equipment. Ensure athletic facilities are maintained, safe, and ready for play/competition. Perform routine maintenance of athletic facilities.
• Coaching and Sports Knowledge - Understanding the nuances of various sports to support coaches and athletes effectively. Experience in coaching can be an advantage.
•Technology Skills - Proficiency in scheduling software, spreadsheets, and communication tools. Leveraging technology for data management, performance tracking, and promotional purposes.

Qualifications

Undergraduate degree with at least 5 years of high school athletic administrative experience
Required Certifications
Virtus, BCI/ FBI check, Pupil Validation Certification, Adult CPR, First Aid, Lindsay’s Law, Concussion Training
