Great Salt Bay School is seeking an Athletic Director for the 22/23 School Year.

Job Summary
This position manages and oversees the school’s athletic programs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare a master sport calendar for practices and games/events.
- Maintain practice and game schedules on Google calendar.
- Generate and distribute team schedules.
- Coordinate with the Busline League to schedule officials for home contests.
- Assist custodian supervisor with gymnasium, building, and field use requests.
- Coordinate gym and field use for practices and games.
- Determine weather conditions relative to practices and games to ensure safety.
- Work with coaching staff and transportation supervisors to schedule transportation.
- Assist in hiring coaches for the athletic program.
- Coach sports teams when qualified coaches are unavailable.
- Serve as a resource and coordinator for all coaches.
- Enforce school concussion policy and ensure coaches have concussion training.
- Hold coach and family meetings before each season to share Athletic Code information.
- Ensure athlete eligibility by checking physicals and participation paperwork.
- Monitor and enforce GSB Athletic Code eligibility policy.
- Provide a channel for students and community concerns about athletic programs.
- Mediate issues between coaches, students, and parents/guardians.
- Assist in supervising at home athletic contests.
- Responsible for game setup and takedown of all home contests.
- Attend all league championship games involving GSB.
- Attend Busline League meetings and serve on a committee.
- Submit yearly athletic budget.
- Order necessary equipment annually.
- Maintain uniform inventory and distribution process.
- Maintain equipment inventory and replacement plan.
- Report athletic information monthly to the school board via the Principal’s report.
- Maintain an advisory role with All Sports Boosters.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior successful experience in a school setting or with children.
- Coaching experience.
- Fluent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Proficiency with Google tools (Calendar, Mail, Drive) and PowerSchool.
- Good judgment and ability to work amidst interruptions.
- Ability to obtain CPR/First Aid, bloodborne pathogen, and blood spill training.
