Job summary

The Salvation Army Ray & Joan Kroc Corps Community Center in Biloxi, MS is seeking a dedicated professional to oversee athletic programs. You will develop, coordinate and monitor operations across the gymnasium, track and field, ensuring programs meet community needs and adhere to policies, procedures and safety standards.

Responsibilities include supervising staff, coordinating schedules, training volunteers, supporting grant proposals, and delivering high-quality customer service to center

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; Bachelor's preferred in Physical Education or related field.
• Three years administering recreation programs or equivalent experience.
• Valid driver’s license and TSA driver program eligibility.
• CPR and First Aid certification upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Develops, coordinates and monitors athletic program operations of the center’s facilities.
• Implements programs based on community need and athletics trends; ensures compliance with policies and regulations.
• Assists with the research and preparation of grant proposals to secure program funding.
• Supervises day-to-day activities of gym, track and field; hires, trains and evaluates staff.
• Ensures programs comply with health, safety regulations and quality standards.
• Delivers consistent, high-level customer service to center participants.

Schedule/Hours: Monday-Saturday – Full-time 37.5 hours per weekThis position is responsible for:Develops, coordinates and monitors the athletic programmatic operations of The Salvation Army Ray & Joan Kroc Corps Community Center (RJKCCC); implements programs based on community need and athletics trends; complies with established policies and procedures as well as local, state, and federal regulations; assists with the research and preparation of grant proposals in order to secure program funding based on the needs of the center.Key Responsibilities:Supervises, monitors, and provides oversight to the day-to-day program activities of the gymnasium, track, and field; and ensures that operations run smoothly and in compliance with established procedures; conducts performance evaluations and makes salary and hiring/firing recommendations for athletic staff.Ensures athletic programs are in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including health and safety.Performs consistent, high quality customer service.
