Job summary

East Stroudsburg University’s Athletics Department seeks a Student Worker for Athletic Communications to support game day operations and media coverage. The role collaborates with fellow student workers and department staff under supervision of the Assistant to the Athletic Director and other leadership.

Duties include assisting with stats software, camera operations, broadcasting, photography, Adobe Creative Suite projects, social media content, game recaps, and updating esuwarriors.com.

Qualifications

• Current ESU student in good academic standing.
• Be registered for the fall/spring semester.
• Available to work 10-20 hours per week.
• Able to work nights and weekends, including Homecoming and Family weekend.

Responsibilities

• Assist with stats software during home sporting events.
• Assist with running cameras and/or broadcast production software.
• Serve as broadcaster/color commentator/public address announcer at events.
• Assist with photography and video projects.
• Assist with graphic design and video editing using the Adobe Creative Suite.
• Assist with content creation for social media accounts.

Job Summary:

Successful candidates will work in collaboration with other student workers and department personnel as well as under the direction of the Assistant to the Athletic Director, Athletic Administration Graduate Assistants, and other members of the ESU Athletic Department.

Description:

The student worker for athletic operations helps to provide a safe, organized and professional game experience at all athletic events for fans, student-athletes, game officials and the ESU community. The student worker position, if assigned, also helps to maintain a safe and welcoming environment of Koehler Fieldhouse. The duties for this position within the ESU Athletic Department include but are not limited to the following:

• Assist with stats software during home sporting events
• Assist with the running of cameras and/or broadcast production software
• Serve as broadcaster/color commentor/public address announcer at events
• Assist with photography and video projects
• Assist with graphic design and video editing using the Adobe Creative Suite
• Assist with content creation for social media accounts
• Write game recaps and help update esuwarriors.com

Qualifications:

• Current ESU student in good academic standing.
• Be registered for the fall/spring semester.
• Ability to work any days and/or shifts needed, including nights and weekends including Homecoming and Family weekend.
• Must be able to work both outside and inside events and tolerate variable weather conditions.
• Ability to exercise sound judgment and solve problems as necessary and work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be available to work 10-20 hours per week.
• Applicants must be personable, reliable, have great communication skills, and have high levels of integrity and professionalism in both behavior and appearance.
