Job summary

The University of Pennsylvania seeks an Associate Director of Athletic Communications in Philadelphia to serve as the primary media contact for multiple varsity programs, coordinating interviews, game coverage, and statistics while working closely with coaches and staff.

You will oversee social media output, supervise assistants, and collaborate with marketing and design for stories and game-day content, with occasional travel for events.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 2 to 3 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Primary Media Contact for assigned sports; coordinates interviews, game previews/recaps, roster/schedule management, and social media coverage.
• Supervise staff and interns; oversee onboarding and training of assistants.
• Collaborate with marketing and graphic design to promote ticket events and develop content for ESPN+ and publications.
• Coordinate with facilities for game-day operations (parking, credentials, TV/radio needs).
• Handle on-site media requests, in-game stats, and post-game interviews.
