Job summary

Chandler Unified School District is seeking a Girls Basketball Coach to support athletic programs at Chandler, AZ. This supplemental Athletics/Activities role reports to the Athletic Director and focuses on planning practices, teaching fundamentals, and promoting sportsmanship and character.

Qualifications

  • Valid Arizona Driver’s License.
  • DPS IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.
  • CPR/First Aid/AED Certification.
  • NFHS Course Certificates: Bullying, Hazing and Inappropriate Behaviors; Concussion in Sports; First Aid, Health and Safety; Fundamentals of Coaching; Heat Illness Prevention.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and conduct practices that develop individual and team athletic skills.
  • Teach sport-specific fundamentals, strategies, and rules.
  • Promote student-athlete growth, sportsmanship, and positive character.
  • Supervise and manage student-athletes during practices, competitions, and team activities.
  • Prepare teams for competitions and coach during games with professionalism.
  • Prioritize athlete safety and follow all injury prevention and emergency protocols.
  • Establish and enforce team expectations aligned with school and district policies.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, administrators, and athletic staff.
  • Assist with program administration, including equipment, records, and required documentation.
  • Comply with all school, district, and athletic association rules and professional standards

Minimum Qualifications:
