Job summary

Milton Academy is seeking an Athletic Center Attendant / Groundskeeper to maintain the Athletic and Convocation Center and campus grounds. The role involves cleaning, ice rink care, and event support throughout the year, with additional grounds duties when the rink is closed.

The position requires high school diploma, valid driver's license, and at least one year of ice rink experience. Ability to operate Zamboni, basic computer skills, and CPR certification are expected.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, or equivalent; valid driver’s license.
• General knowledge of equipment, building and grounds maintenance practices, and athletic facility and field operations.
• At least one year of ice rink experience.
• Holds or willing to obtain First Aid and CPR certificate.
• Proficiency in Google Workspace, Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Cloud.

Responsibilities

• Maintain ice rink, including logs for refrigeration equipment and ice surface care.
• Operate and maintain Zamboni and ice edger; monitor refrigeration equipment.
• Coordinate with cleaning vendor to keep locker rooms, restrooms and common areas clean.
• Clean interior and exterior of the building; manage trash and debris removal.
• Assist with set up and dismantling of the ice rink for events.
• Participate in snow removal and salting of walkways and driveways.
• Transport, move, and set up tables, chairs, and equipment for events.
• Support grounds maintenance during ice rink off-season, including turf and irrigation work.
• Assist in opening and closing outdoor pool and various events support.
• Operate vehicles and grounds equipment and update work orders in the system.
