Job summary

OrthoNebraska is seeking a Performance Coach to deliver training services to athletes and adults, while supporting marketing, sales, customer service and operations for the performance division. The role is casual/PRN with a flexible schedule, requiring high school graduation and a background in exercise science or related field.

Preferred candidates hold BLS certification within 60 days of hire and have 1+ year of experience or internship in a private or college setting, with broad exposure to

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent required.
• Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science or related field preferred.
• BLS certification required within 60 days of hire.
• 1+ year experience or internship in private or college setting for full-time coach - required. Multitude of athletic/adult populations experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coaches sessions with attention to injury prevention and safety.
• Conducts initial musculoskeletal and performance evaluations for new clients.
• Sets goals with clients and tracks progress over time.
• Uses coaching cues to improve training techniques and maintain a positive learning environment.
• Keeps sessions organized, on time, and communicates client progress to Head Performance Coach.
• Collaborates with PT staff on mutual clients and injury situations.
• Assists marketing and customer service with content and referrals.
• Supervises and mentors interns as directed by Head Performance Coach.
• Maintains client schedules and supports renewal discussions.
