Job summary

Epic Sports Biomechanics, LLC in Newtown, PA, seeks a Performance Specialist, Program Development, to assist with biomechanical data collection, processing, and analysis for athlete development.

You will implement and monitor individualized training programs, conduct physical assessments, and collaborate with our team to translate complex data into actionable insights for athletes, coaches, and families.

Occasional remote work and travel up to 10% may be required as part of client engagements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Kinesiology, Biomechanics, Exercise Physiology, Sports Science, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience working with athletes across multiple sports and competitive levels.
  • Developed and implemented progressive athlete development or intervention programs.
  • Strong understanding of movement assessment, performance enhancement, and injury mitigation.
  • Experience using screening tools to identify movement inefficiencies and performance limits.
  • Ability to analyze biomechanical data and communicate findings clearly.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills interacting with athletes, parents, coaches, and stakeholders.
  • Motivated, energetic trainer able to foster a positive environment.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple programs simultaneously.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the collection, processing, and analysis of biomechanical evaluation data.
  • Conduct physical assessments and screening protocols, including movement, mobility, strength, power, and injury evaluations.
  • Collaborate with Epic staff to interpret biomechanical and motion capture results.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized athlete development programs to improve performance and reduce injury risk.
  • Execute and oversee athlete training programs both in-person and remotely.
  • Utilize motion capture, IMUs, pressure mapping, high-speed video, and ball-flight tracking to support evaluations.
  • Translate technical data into clear, actionable recommendations for athletes, coaches, trainers, and families.
  • Monitor progress and adjust development plans based on objective data.
  • Maintain facility equipment and assist with technology readiness.
  • Schedule, coordinate, and organize evaluations and training sessions.
  • Support client communication, retention, and overall experience.
  • Participate in business development activities and marketing initiatives.
  • Stay informed on emerging technologies, research, and best practices in biomechanics and sports performance.
