Job summary

DICK'S Sporting Goods is seeking a Sales Specialist to deliver an engaging shopping experience, pairing product expertise with outstanding customer service for athletes of all abilities.

In this role, you will help customers find the right apparel, footwear, and gear, contribute to a welcoming store environment, and support store programs and operations. Prior retail experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• 1-3 years of experience.
• Previous retail or customer-facing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Delivers an outstanding athlete experience by proactively engaging athletes and providing knowledgeable product information.
• Assists with onboarding and training of new and existing team members as subject matter expert of their area.
• Maintains merchandising standards and ensures products are ready for athletes to purchase.
• Upholds company merchandising and presentation standards by following established floor set plans, signage requirements, price changes, inventory presentation, replenishment standards, etc.
• Promotes and drives customer participation in company programs (i.e. customer loyalty program participation, warranty sales, private label credit card enrollment, etc.).
• Creates a store environment where everyone, both teammates and athletes, are always welcome and treated with respect. Adheres to established policies and procedures related to safety, loss prevention and standard operating procedures, as well as to laws/guidelines of external governing entities.
