Job summary

DICK'S Sporting Goods is seeking a Specialist - Loss Prevention to help protect assets and support teammates in a store environment. You will ensure policies are followed and contribute to a trusted shopping experience for athletes of all abilities.

Responsibilities include delivering an outstanding athlete experience, training teammates, maintaining store standards, and promoting participation in company programs, all while upholding safety and loss-prevention procedures.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• 1-3 years of experience in retail or customer-facing role.
• Previous retail or customer-facing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Delivers an outstanding athlete experience by engaging athletes to understand their shopping needs and providing accurate product information.
• Assists with onboarding and training of new and existing team members as subject matter expert in their area of the store.
• Demonstrates efficiency in process execution while maintaining an athlete-first mindset; ensures products are ready for athletes to purchase and engaged as needed.
• Upholds company merchandising and presentation standards following floor set plans, signage, price changes, and inventory presentation.
• Promotes and drives customer participation in company programs (loyalty, warranty sales, private label enrollment).
• Creates a store environment where everyone is welcomed and treated with respect, adhering to safety, loss prevention, and SOPs.
