The Institute for Advanced Learning and Research (IALR) is seeking a Welding Technician to support the Accelerated Training in Defense Manufacturing (ATDM) program. This position works closely with the Welding Instructor to help deliver hands-on training that prepares students for careers supporting the defense manufacturing industry.
As a Welding Technician, you will play a key role in supporting one of the nation's premier workforce development programs for defense manufacturing. Your technical expertise and commitment to student success will help create a hands-on learning environment that prepares students for high-demand careers in welding and fabrication.
You will work collaboratively with instructors, staff, and students to ensure training activities run efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and professionalism.
ATDM Instructors and Technicians are assigned shifts based on training needs. Shift assignments are determined by business needs at the time of hire, performance, and tenure. This position requires flexibility to work any shift as program needs evolve. Compensation includes a shift differential based on assigned instructional hours. This position will support training on third shift.
Evening, weekend, and off site instructional assignments may be required.
