Ombudsman Educational Services, a ChanceLight division, seeks an At-Risk Mentor to support youth in an Alternative Education program in Chicago. Starting rate is $22/hour.

In this role you'll provide strategic case management, build relationships with students, families, educators and support teams, and help drive measurable academic and behavioral progress. Qualifications include a high school diploma, with a Bachelor's preferred; IL driver's license and crisis-management training; evening

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Paraprofessional credential preferred.
• Valid IL driver’s license required.
• Experience with at-risk youth preferred.
• Strong relationship-building and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic case management and individualized student support.
• Build growth-oriented relationships with students, families, educators, and support teams.
• Review data to assess intervention effectiveness and progress.
• Coordinate with teachers, clinical staff and community supports.
• Lead re-entry planning for students returning from suspension or leave.
• Collaborate with the Clinical Care Team and cross-functional partners.
• Monitor student information systems to track progress and outcomes.
• Support evening hours and flexible scheduling as needed.
