Job summary

AdventHealth in Daytona Beach, FL is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse to join our patient care team. The role supports postoperative care, patient assessments, and discharge education.

You will work 3x8s, 8:30am-5pm, with a $10,000 sign-on bonus eligibility and a comprehensive benefits package starting day one, including medical, dental, vision, and retirement options.

Qualifications

• RN required; BLS CPR required; ACLS preferred.
• Associate's Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's preferred.

Responsibilities

• Communicates with medical staff and ancillary services to ensure appropriate continuum of patient care.
• Assesses patients upon return to the unit for phase II recovery per unit protocols.
• Discharges patients following established discharge criteria.
• Demonstrates clinical competence in patient assessment and reassessment.

Job Description:

Sign On Bonus $10,000 (Eligibility Requirements Apply) Schedule: 3x8s a week, 8:30am to 5pm Call: 3 Weekends per year Sat/Sun Communicates with medical staff and ancillary services to ensure appropriate continuum of patient care. Assesses patients immediately upon return to the unit for phase II recovery according to unit protocols. Provides patients and families with post‑operative educational information and discharge instructions. Discharges patients following established discharge criteria. Demonstrates clinical competence in patient assessment and reassessment.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Computer proficiency required. Competency with IV management required. Ability to function at a high level in a physically demanding, high‑stress environment required. Demonstrated ability to work under stressful conditions required. Ability to work irregular hours, including call hours, required. Basic computer skills (e.g., Microsoft® Word) preferred.

Education:

Associate's of Nursing [Required] Bachelor's of Nursing [Preferred]

Work Experience:

1+ years of clinical experience in a hospital [Preferred] 1+ years of experience in outpatient ambulatory surgery [Preferred]

Licenses and Certifications:

Registered Nurse (RN) [Required] Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required] Advanced Cardiac Life Support Cert (ACLS) [Preferred]
