Summary:
The Research Assistant will support the Department of Physics' Astronomy research projects and Space Studies Minor program by collecting observational data, drafting qualitative and quantitative reports, preparing materials for presentation at conferences, and creating an original research project with Dr. Grocholski's guidance over the course of 2-3 months.
Responsibilities:
Collecting observational data and maintaining lab protocol.
Assembling reports using relevant research metrics.
Producing an original research proposal and final report upon completion of the project.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
Part-time.
20 hours per week.
Salary Range:
$17.95 per hour.
Required Education and Experience:
1 year of experience in a Physics course, preferably Phys160.
